The match which was hosted by the CBCHS FC was played on the CCC Mankon field. It was dubbed “Exercise for Health”.
According to the President of the Bamenda Regional Hospital FC, Mr Ngunjuah Franklen, it was an invitation from his club extended to that of CBCHS FC just for the purpose of entertainment and to keep fit. Watching both teams play one could have the impression that there was a trophy to be won.
Within the first five minutes of play, the boys of CBCHS shook the net of BRH for the curtain raiser and this served as a wake-up call to the boys of BRH. The first half of the game ended in a 1-1 draw while the second half saw one successful shot each on target for both teams, making it a 2-2 draw.
It should be noted that football at any level requires a great deal of running, jumping and a lot of dexterity. The game is an excellent form of aerobic and anaerobic exercise. The physical fitness exercises help with increased mass and bone density, which reduces the risk of bone and joint related diseases as one gets older.
